Eternity egg

If love is forever, what better expression of it, than this beautifully created egg. It is made of bubinga wood from central Asia, with the Imperial Crown of Russia in miniature on top. The latter is made from vermeil with a cabochon ruby while the base is ornamentally turned and plated with 24 carat gold. The body of the egg is finely inlaid. Concealed in its heart is a specially designed compartment, of African blackwood, with room to hold a precious ring. The egg stands 12.5cm tall.
