Queen Victoria's Crown

Queen Victoria's Crown

This pretty crown collection has been inspired by the small diamond crown of Queen Victoria, which is displayed at the Tower of London. Made from silver and diamonds taken from one of her necklaces and designed to be worn with her mourning veil after the death of her husband Prince Albert, the crown is tiny at only 9.4cm (3.7 in) high. Queen Victoria first wore her small crown at the opening of Parliament on 9 February 1871, and often used it for State occasions.
