The Field of the Cloth of Gold in 1520 was an extravagant 3 week jamboree, a summit of powers which Henry and the new French king Francis I enjoyed! To celebrate this great event, we have a regal cup, quoting words found engraved on the sides of the fountain: make-goode-cheere-who-wyshes.
