- Inspired by a brooch with a central oval pink topaz with a scroll border of cushion-shaped diamonds suspending a detachable topaz and diamond drop mounted in silver and gold and made in about 1860. This was a purchase by HRH The Princess of Wales, later Queen Mary, in 1901. This brooch passed to Princess Margaret and was sold at auction in 2006. Pewter base metal, nickle, lead and cadmium free. Plated in Silver, Rhodium, 18ct Gold, 24ct matt gold. Set with Swarovski elements. Height 4.5cm, width 3cm.
