Court dress for a coronation

A detail from an eau-de-nil silk velvet dress, c1902, decorated with ivory lace and painted silk orchids. Unfortunately, this beautiful dress was never worn, as the future King Edward VII suffered a sudden bout of appendicitis and the coronation date was postponed. This greetings card is blank and comes with an envelope. Measures 16 x 16 cm.
