Mary I doll

Mary was the daughter of Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon and also known as ‘Bloody Mary’ after she made martyrs of many of her Protestant subjects. The head is individually sculpted in porcelain as are the hands and feet with lifelike set-in eyes, and hairstyles fashioned from soft mohair. The costumes is made from velvet, brocade and other rich materials; hat, head-dress and clothes are all finished off with the appropriate scale pearls and jewellery. Mary I is dressed in a gown of dark burgundy and wears the flattened style of head-dress which was a later development of the French hood. Each 12" (30cm) doll is personally made from start to finish in the UK and numbered. Please allow 4 weeks for delivery. There is an additional postage and packing charge for this item.
