Dating from the 12th to 13th century, this replica Crusader Transitional Helmet is an example of the helmet that bridged the gap between the open-faced and flat top helmets and the later Great Helms.

The full face visor provided enhanced protection for the face in combat and from projectiles but at the expense of vision and ventilation.

The Crusades took place between the 11th and 13th century as Christian and Saracen armies fought for control on the Holy Land. Richard the Lionheart was England's most famous crusading King.

  • Dimensions: 30cm high x 24cm deep x 21cm wide.
  • Weight - 2,084 grams
  • Made from 18 gauge steel with a decorative brass cross.
  • Please note this product will be charged for at point of order and not time of despatch. Please see terms & conditions.

While steel helmets are polished, any items with moving pieces will scratch as the steel parts move over each other, this is inherent with all such similar items and is not a fault.
