The close helm was a helmet worn by knights in the late Medieval and Renaissance period and was called such because it fully enclosed the knight’s head and had a pivoting visor. This type of helmet was used in battle and was also used frequently in tournaments because of its excellent protection of the whole head and neck.

This close helm is constructed from 18 gauge steel and features moving visors. Both the visor and the upper bevor (the plate with the ventilation holes) can open individually. The helmet is also adjustable and includes a leather spider style liner and leather chin strap – all made from premium quality leather.
