The Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace

The Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace

Discover our brand-new ‘Sunken Garden’ range, inspired by the lovely green oasis next to Kensington Palace.

The elegant print of delicate pastel flowers beautifully reflects the calming atmosphere of this special place.

Created over a century ago, it was Diana, Princess of Wales’ favourite spot during the 15 years when she lived in the palace. Our gardeners have many fond memories of her stopping there for a chat during a morning jog, or admiring wonderful colours and arrangements of plants in a moment of respite from her public duties.

In recognition of the importance this much-loved garden held for her, a statue of Princess Diana was unveiled there on 1 July 2021 to commemorate what would be her 60th birthday.

This charming space surrounded by arched walkways remains free and open to the public. Come and experience its restoring effect yourself, and take a piece of it with you in the form of a souvenir from our collection.
