Tudor Rose glass baubles, set of 2
The national flower of England is the rose which was adopted as England's emblem during the time of the Wars of the Roses (1455-1485) and represents the joining of the two rival houses of York and Lancaster, sealed by the marriage of Henry Tudor, King Henry VII, to Elizabeth of York.
The design took the white rose of York as the centre of the flower, and the red rose of Lancaster as the outside edging. The design symbolised unity and mutual regard and the motif can be seen throughout Hampton Court Palace and other Royal establishments.
These beautiful Tudor Rose glass decorations are blown by mouth from glass and have been hand decorated with a thin layer of silver plate added to the inside.
This traditional process has been unchanged for more than 100 years and the handcrafted nature of this Christmas ornament makes each decoration truly unique.
Presented in a gift box these set of two Tudor Rose decorations will look wonderful on your Christmas tree and are perfect for lovers of Tudor history.
