Lady Jane Grey doll
Lady Jane Grey, sometimes referred to at The Nine Day's Queen, was an English noblewoman and the great-granddaughter of Henry VII. When Edward VI lay dying, her father in law John Dudley selected Jane to be successor of the crown instead of Mary and Elizabeth.
The plan ultimately failed and Jane was imprisoned in the Tower of London, convicted of high treason and sentenced to death.
Lady Jane Grey was beheaded on Tower Green at the Tower of London; she was only 16 years old.
The head of this beautiful collectable doll is individually sculpted in porcelain, as are the hands and feet with lifelike set-in eyes. The hair is fashioned from soft mohair and all the features are delicately painted by hand.
Each 13" (33cm) Anne of Cleves doll is personally made from start to finish in the UK and is signed and numbered by the artist.
