The Palace Crest Collection has been exclusively designed for Historic Royal Palaces and celebrates the creation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain. During Queen Anne's reign she was instrumental in the creation of the Act of Union (1707) which united England and Scotland into a single state and parliament which led to the creation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain.
This collection has been designed using symbols of monarchy and national flowers; daffodil, rose, shamrock and thistle with the crest drawing inspiration from a mural by Italian artist Antonio Verrio which can be seen in the Queen's drawing room at Hampton Court Palace. In this mural, Queen Anne is depicted as Britannia receiving homage from the four quarters of the globe.

Each piece is skilfully finished in 22 carat gold.
