Henry VIII married his second wife, Anne Boleyn, in 1533 and she was proclaimed Queen only days after the annullment of his marriage to Catherine of Aragon. They had one daughter, Elizabeth (later Queen Elizabeth I). Anne was executed at the Tower of London in 1536 for treason.

The head of this beautiful collectable doll is individually sculpted in porcelain, as are the hands and feet with lifelike set-in eyes. The hair is fashioned from soft mohair and all the features are delicately painted by hand. The costume is made from black velvet, brocade and other rich materials; hat, head-dress and clothes are all finished off with the appropriate scale pearls and accessories.
