Katherine Parr Decoration
9455F6
Katherine Parr, Henry VIII's sixth and final wife, was far more than just the King's "saintly nurse": she was a published author, devoted stepmother, and vocal advocate for the English Reformation.
Married to Henry at Hampton Court Palace, Katherine reigned for three and a half years. During that time, she acted as Regent-General while Henry waged war in France and played a key role in reconciling him with his daughters, Mary and Elizabeth, future queens themselves.
Despite her influence, Katherine made powerful enemies at court. Yet, she not only outlived Henry to marry Sir Thomas Seymour but also survived a dangerous plot to arrest her for heresy.
This stunning Katherine Parr tree decoration is double-sided and is beautifully handmade using gold metal and silk threads on a purple background with a foam filling.
A fantastic collectable that would make a lovely gift for any lover of Tudor history.
