Our beautiful Pineapple ceramic jar takes its inspiration from the exotic gardens at Hillsborough Castle & Gardens.

The lid for the jar can be removed completely to reveal a space where important trinkets can be kept safe or even delicious snacks.

At Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland, the remains of early eighteenth century Pineapple House and original Hot House wall have been discovered. Hot wall gardens used heated walls to grow fruits. Archaeologists unearthed a 19th century fireplace at the hot wall, once used to grow pineapples and other exotic fruits in large greenhouses.
