Jousting - Popular Tudor entertainment

Jousting was a sport played by knights and lords and Henry VIII was a keen jouster. Jousts were organised by heralds, who challenged knights who were then ranked on their sporting prowess. Often large amounts of money were bet on each contest.

Knights used a lance (a long weapon like a spear) or sometimes a sword or axe. They charged towards each other on horseback with the aim of earning points by breaking their competitor's lance. Extra points were earned by breaking a lance on the other knight's armour.

All orders are processed immediately and are despatched on clearance of payment - within 3-5 days, depending on the time of receipt and if the products are in stock. If a product is no longer available or out of stock, you will be contacted by phone or email as soon as possible and provided with a new delivery date, if applicable.
