The Tudor rose represents the joining of the two rival houses of Lancaster and York, sealed by the marriage of Henry Tudor, King Henry VII, to Elizabeth of York, thereby ending the Wars of the Roses. The double rose design combines the emblems of both families, the white rose of York in the centre and the red rose of Lancaster on the outside. The Tudor Rose motif can be seen throughout Hampton Court Palace and other Royal establishments. This lovely cushion would make a charming addition to your home, and a perfect gift for those interested in the Tudor period.
